Jacklin Francis' mother-in-law passes away

Jacklin Francis (Zone A) lost her mother-in-law on Friday, 8 July 2011. She left immediately with her sons, Kevin and Darryl, for the village in M.P. Quite journey, and with two kids.

Vincent Dias passes away

Mr Vincent Dias passed away at around 1800 hrs this evening, 10 June 2011. He was 73.

A few days ago Vincent suffered a heart attack and was admitted to Sai Baba Hospital near Kalidas Mandir. He was also heavily diabetic.

The funeral mass will be at 1000 hrs tomorrow, 11 June 2011, at Don Bosco Church.

I remember Vincent as a happy man. He lived alone in his third floor flat at Eden Gardens, but was content and happy. He had a group of friends who used to pass the evenings in his house playing cards. I have never heard him complain or grumble. RIP, Vincent!

Olive D'Souza passes away

Olive D'Souza, mother of Dominic D'Souza, mother-in-law of Lucy D'Souza, grandmother of Bosco and Keith, passed away yesterday evening (2 June). She was 84. The funeral will be held this evening, beginning with mass at Don Bosco at 1500 hrs. RIP to Olive, who was one of our oldest parishioners, and our prayers for the family.

Bro P.M. Thomas passes away

Bro P.M. Thomas, SDB, first principal of Don Bosco School, Nashik, passed away in the early hours of this morning, 12 December 2010. He had been in the ICU for an infection of the pancreas the last week.

The details of the funeral are awaited. The funeral will most likely be on Tuesday, 14 November 2010.

Bro Thomas was born 20 August 1934. He made his first profession on 24 May 1955, and his perpetual profession on 24 May 1961.

Death

Please pray for Mr Agnelo D'Souza (behind STI, opposite Fab India) who passed away a few days ago. He was just 49 years old. The funeral was held this morning. He leaves behind his wife and two sons, Aldrich and Adlon.

Death announcements

Mr Paulus Vamanrao Adhav of Chunchale passed away last night at around 2230 hours. The funeral is expected to take place this morning at around 1130 hours.

Earlier in the week, the father of Mr Prakash Rohom of Satpur passed away. The funeral was held on 3 November 2010.

Fr A.U. Jose's mother passes away

Fr. A.U. Jose's mother Mariam passed away on 16 September 2010 at the age of 98. Fr A.U. Jose, who teaches at Divyadaan, has just left for Kerala to attend the funeral. RIP and our sincerest condolences to Fr A.U.

Demise of Anjali's husband

Mrs Anjali Shah, teacher at Don Bosco, lost her husband a couple of weeks ago. He had been suffering from cancer. Our sincerest condolences to Mrs Shah and her family.

Bro Rickson's grandmother

Bro Rickson Fernandes lost his paternal grandmother in the early hours of Sunday morning, 13 June 2010. The funeral is today. Our condolences to Bro Rickson and his family.

Mrs Rose Koshy's mother expired

Mrs Rose Koshy's mother expired in Kerala this morning, 25 March 2010, at 0535 hours. Our condolences to Rose and her family, and prayers for the repose of the deceased soul. RIP.

Sr Roberta's mother passes away

Sr Roberta, UMI, from Nirmala Home for the Aged, lost her mother, who had already crossed the wonderful age of 100, in the early hours of the morning today, 9 March 2010.

Sr Roberta is one of 14 children 4 of whom are nuns. Sr Roberta and her sister Hilda belong to the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate.

We pray for her mother, and for the bereaved family.

Deceased relatives of parishioners

Sr Anita Dushing, FMA, from Maria Vihar, lost her father on Saturday, 6 February 2010. The funeral was on Sunday, 7 February 2010, at Bhableshwar.

Earlier in the week Mr Henry Menezes lost his mother in Mangalore.

Mrs Genevieve Mascarenhas also lost her brother in Bangalore in December 2009.

Our heartfelt condolences to these bereaved parishioners and their families, as also our prayers and suffrages for the deceased.

Sr Sushma's brother-in-law passes away

Sr Sushma, FMA, just got the news of the sad demise of her brother-in-law, a young man of 40. He leaves behind his wife and two little children. Let's pray for him, and most especially for the bereaved family.

Thomas Ohol, RIP

Mr Thomas Ohol of the Satpur sector of our parish died this morning. He was only 25. He leaves behind his parents, and a younger brother. The funeral was held at around 1530 hours the same day. Let us pray for this young man and for his family, especially his bereaved mother.

Bro Johnson's grandfather passes away

Mr Kasna Bhuriya, grandfather of Bro Johnson Pannasingh Bhuriya (Don Bosco Nashik), passed away last night (27 November 2009) after a brief illness, at Jhabua, M.P.
He was about 80 years old.

Please keep Mr Bhuriya in your prayers, as well as Bro Johnson and his family.

The funeral rites will be celebrated later today. Bro Johnson is leaving for home, but will reach only late tonight.

Mr Augustine Chokar passes away

As we were having our Youth Group meeting this morning, we received the sad news that Mr Augustine Chokar, father of Meena (teacher in our school), passed away. He was giving a talk during the Marriage Preparation Shibir at St Ann's, Nashik Road, when he collapsed. He passed away on the way to the hospital.

The funeral mass was held at 1330 hours at Dominic Savio Church, Satpur, and the burial will take place at Sangamner, where most of the Chokar relatives live.

Mr Chokar was a very active member of our parish and was well-known also in the other parishes in Nashik. He was involved with the Marriage Preparation Shibirs since many years. RIP, Mr Chokar, and our sincerest condolences to the family.

Rocky's mum passes away

Rocky D'Silva lost his dear mother in Bangalore a few days ago. He had gone down to see her and was with her when she passed away. She was 83, if I remember right. Prayers for Mrs D'Silva, for Rocky and for all the members of the family.

Fr Ashley's mum passes away

Fr Ashley Miranda's mother passed away this morning at Borivli, Mumbai. She was just 69.

Mrs Nellie Miranda had been ailing for some time. Soon after paying a visit to Fr Ashley at STI, a few months ago, she suffered a paralytic stroke and had to be hospitalized. She was taken home after a longish stay in the hospital, but did not recover fully. A few days ago she was taken once again to the hospital because of internal bleeding. This morning she passed away. Fr Ashley was on his way to Mumbai to see her.

The funeral timings have not yet been fixed.

RIP, dear Mrs Miranda. Prayers for Fr Ashley and his family.

Mrs Clotilda Mascarenhas, RIP

Mrs Clotilda Mascarenhas passed away at around 1930 hours yesterday, Monday, 17 August 2009.

Her daughter is awaited. The funeral timings will be fixed as soon as we know when she arrives.
